Long time, no post I know. Life has been so crazy! I'm on a break from creativity all together at the moment. Been doing a lot of "personal growth". The painful kind... But as always life turns out better in the end! I've been very focused on spending quality time with family including my fabulous husband and my daughter. We live with my mother right now and my younger brother who just had a baby with his girlfriend. The baby is adorable and has truly quenched my thirst for another child! I had baby fever again until he was born and now not only do I get to see the most adorable little baby, but I can give him back and get a full night's sleep too! Best of both worlds! I started a job and worked there for one week. It wasn't a good fit for me, so I had to quit. I have recently applied for another job and I'm waiting for them to do their background check before they make a decision on hiring me or not. I will be driving down town every day, but with my husband, so we'll get to spend more time together as we drive to and from work every day. Also, my daughter will be able to go back to the school that she loved so much before I became unemployed. That will be awesome too! I thought I could be a stay at home mom, but I cannot offer Emily what the school can, so it would be best for her if I went back to work and she was able to enjoy her friends again. Plus I would get the adult interaction I need and learn to succeed at something all my own. My husband will start his new job Sept. 1st and perhaps our lives can return to something close to normal! Yay!!!

Fun With Breakable Furniture 5:06 PM

Hello! Well, we're moved in for the most part. Of course we still have all the teeny tiny little details to fine tune and some minor unpacking still to be done as well as pictures to hang, but we're getting more and more settled every day. It has been a challenge to live with another family, but we seem to be ironing out all the details as we go.

One really cool thing that has come of this move is that I now have my very own spot in our bedroom to sit and do my hair and makeup. Mark and I found this cute little desk on Craigslist. When we went to pick it up, Mark tried and tried to make it fit in the car. Finally after all his effort to make it fit, he sat it down and it just fell apart. We just stood there and laughed. God gave us our solution. Although it wasn't exactly what we wanted, it helped Mark to realize that the desk really wasn't constructed very well. We put the pieces in the trunk and went on home, laughing the entire way. A few weeks later, I have this adorable rebuilt and refinished little desk and vanity stool in our room. I love it! I even bought some cute fabric (Ginseng by Joel Dewberry for Free Spirit) to recover the vanity stool that I got from my grandmother's house before the estate sale.

I'm looking forward to Father's Day weekend. I've got a special project in the works for Mark. I'll show it off in my next post! Hope everyone enjoys their week!

P.S. Check out my new banner/avatar set in my shop!

Hottie Alert! 9:36 AM

OK, so I'm a stay at home mom right now. And Emily loves this show on Noggin called Lazytown. If anyone has ever watched this show, you cannot help but notice that the hero (Sportacus - not SpArtacus) is wearing this skin-tight body suit. And you also cannot help but notice that he looks damn good in it! So I was curious and did some searching... Come to find out, he is also the creator of the show and a professional athlete (duh - rock hard body!). Here are some pictures I found to share with the ladies and link to his info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magn%C3%BAs_Scheving. Good show for kids... and for Mom! :)

Storage and Decorating 12:21 PM

I'm preparing for the move and have organization on the brain! I've found tons of beautiful old tin containers on Etsy that I'm thinking would be beautiful on my bookshelf for storing crafting supplies. Take a look!

I'm really excited about my new bathroom accessories. I'm going with a shabby chic look that will eventually go in Emily's bathroom when we own a house again. I found some adorable pictures from a lovely Etsy seller kastex at http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=6941825! Check them out! I also got a really pretty trash can, tissue box cover and toothbrush holder. It will all turn out beautifully!

Wooo hooo! We just signed the lease on the house and we're moving in on Friday! Can't wait!

As I sit here writing this blog we are all so happy and so thankful. The mood is much elevated. We are all going to have our stuff and our privacy and space back. Yippeeeeee! :)

Tomorrow we'll be buying boxes (no one is giving them away on Craigslist anymore!) and starting packing what we have here. It's the first time in a long time I have packed with joy in my heart. Emily is very happy to know that she will be getting all of her toys back too. The back yard in huge, so it will easily accommodate the three dogs. My brother even likes his room and will have his own bathroom! We're all on cloud 9!
